When I lived in PDX, I recall one particular fast-food restaurant out there that had HALIBUT on the menu. Tasted incredible.

What fast-food restaurant is that?

Burgerville.

Also sweet potato fries and Walla Walla onion rings, depending on season.

I just looked at the menu online, and it is in a burger?

I also remember breaded halibut with salty fries (not a sandwhich)...kind of in a plastic basket...really good. Is that also at Burgerville?

It's halibut fish and chips, not a burger (or it may be in a burger, but that's never how I had it). Burgerville was the only fast food place I'd eat at and it was because of the fish and chips. Haven't lived in Portland for a couple years now, though, the menu may have changed.

McMenamins also has pretty good fish and chips.

That was it, halibut fish and chips...oh man, those were GOOD. I've been craving those for ages (no longer in Portland either!)

I would definitely miss Burgerville if I was to move. I also love their mocha perk shakes!

Burgerville is the best. I love halibut, and I really like their halibut fish&chips - but I almost never get them because the burgers are so good.

Their only negative is that some of the seasonal stuff is kind of spendy (Yukon gold fries, for example)...but still oh so addictingly good.
