I have just moved from Australia to Houston because my husband got a job here. I am also 30 weeks pregnant.
We have full medical insurance here and I brought all of my pre-natal medical records.
My problem is that no OBGYN's will take me on as a patient.
I have called approximately 15-20 OBGYN's and explained that I have just moved and have insurance but they all say that "I have missed the cut off". Eventually I found out the "cut-off" is the amount of weeks you are along before they refuse you as a patient, it ranges from 25-28 weeks.
So here I am in a new country, 30 weeks pregnant and no Doctors are willing to even give me an appointment.
I didn't expect this as there is no "cut-off" rule in Australia.
If anyone could give me some advise it would be much appreciated!
Thank you
