Only three states and the District of Columbia ranked lower than Arizona in a recent study about which states have the best and worst school systems.
The study, released by WalletHub on Monday, analyzes several metrics, including safety, funding, and class size, to calculate an overall score.
Arizona scored 37.53 points out of 80 points possible, which ranked the state at 47th in the nation.

Arizona ranks 23rd in health care.

Many retirees move to Prescott and are disappointed in the lack of health care. If a person has medical issues, young and old, this area is not the place to move to.

If people are looking for restaurants that serve quality food at a decent price, move elsewhere but it is the place to find practically every clogged artery fast food joints. Obesity is rapid in this area. Find restaurants that cater to fresh organic juicing, organic salads with organic chicken, and organic fruit and veggies, there is not one but of course the demand is not high. Maybe that is the reason YRMC has their own heart department at hospital. Free choice.
I don't have any kids so there's no point in commenting on education.

Look, eating healthy is a great choice which I try to do occasionally. You and I agree, this area needs more healthier restaurants, and a larger variety for different tastes. The first resort should be cooking meals at home, which is financially cheaper and healthier. When people are too tired from work or not in the mood to prepare meals and cook at home, going out to a restaurant is another option.

However, you're self defeating when you steer young people away from the greater Yavapai metro area. Have you ever thought that some outsiders looking to relocate here, especially entrepreneurial minds COULD contribute to the locales within the restaurant industry? Come on now.

Well I doubt one person's opinion is going to influence someone's decision to open up a restaurant. And I seldom go out to eat anymore because my diet is healthy and organic.

ah I was already making business plans

I just realized this sounds weird.

"I’m a single mom of a 9-year old big baby"

She is my daughter. Guess I was feeling silly.
