Not to say that one was right and one was wrong, both committed terrible acts of violence.
But did Donte' Stallworth get the same flack for manslaughter than Vick received for killing the dogs?
Both deserved their punishments but it seems like no one is even talking about the Stallworth situation. He shows up for camp and and not even close to the noise is being made over the fact that he killed someone.
Really, talking a life or animals life as a result of being foolish is unacceptable but, you cannot compare a human life and a dogs life.
It's because Micheal Vick is a beast and Rodger Goodell expects the biggest NFL stars too act appropriatley, and Stallworth is a member of the Cleveland Browns and Goodell wants too get rid of them because they suck! they commit crimes on the field by sucking so bad!
Anyways, same situation with Roethlisberger, only Goodell wanted it too look like he wasn't racist, so he suspended him for 6 games, now 4, but still. Same with Plaxico Burris, and same with Santonio Holmes. Same with Adam "Pacman" Jones, because he was a beast at the time but now hes on the Bengals and still getting in trouble, but Goodell is not making it an issue because now he sucks! Same with Matt Jones, because Matt Jones was getting all of the publicity in Jacksonville in 2008, hell, he was Jacksonville for that short period of time!
If Peyton Manning murdered somebody, which I don't see him doing, and John David Booty murdered somebody, who would you think you would hear about first? Peyton Manning. It is just how Rodger Goodell works, and Manning would probably be suspended the whole year and who knows what the Colts would do with him, because they are nothing with out him, and that is why it would be such a media highlight, compared to John David Booty, who is either a 2nd or 3rd string for the Texans. I had too look it up too even see what team he was on.
But yeah, that's the concept with Goodell running the show.

Sad to say...I like my dogs more than I like most people.
Frankly, when it comes to these NFL thugs, though, I don't have much patience for any of them. Even if it means my team takes a dive because a star player is missing. These people are afforded too much money, attention, and opportunity to do stupid sh*t like that.
Isn't that right Stan, but yet they get less money than other pro-sports teams, it is the media that makes them behave the way they do. That is what I believe anyways. You can see a star NHL player in public and not even know that he is a Profesional athlete because he is never on TV, but somehow, he makes more money than Donovan Mcnabb. Im sure there are a whole lot of thugs in the NHL that never get put on the spotlight unless they make a game winning goal, and then their off the ice murder scene is not even known about.

Stallworth owned up to what he did. Vick drew out his situation and lied to everyone.
There is a lot more to the story than one killed dogs and someone killed a person.
On top of that, Vick's crime was completely intentional and there were far more crimes committed than animal cruelty. He had entire illegal business running on his property that involved millions of dollars and dozens of people.
Stallworth made a mistake that hundreds make each year and owned up to it and did his time. Yes, what Stallworth did was terrible but his was a lapse in judgment while Vick's trouble was an entire illegal organization setup over several years.

There was an article in Yahoo that said that Stallworth had a reasonably good chance of being found not guilty but Stallworth decided to plead guilty anyway because he wanted to take accountability for Reyes death.
Honestly, I'm pulling for both guys. Vick lives in my hometown. Stallworth is on the Ravens who is my AFC pick for the Super Bowl. I've seen all too often young black men who get into the habit of going in and out of jail if they are lucky to be alive. I wish both success.
