Carson Palmer has thrown 11 interceptions in 9 games and his team is 2-7 and he still is the starter for the Bengals???

Does anyone know why?

BTW: he had more interceptions than towndowns today

I'm guessing because they're paying Carson star money and they don't see a better option on the bench.

Without looking at history, I'd think Archie Manning may have been one. He played for a lot of really bad Saints teams. I'm sure there are others.

The fact that the skins are 4-4 and the bengals started the day 2-6, that makes the Mcnabb benching two weeks ago even more confusing

If memory serves me, recent examples are rookie QBs that went on to have some great careers. Examples: Troy Aikman in 1989, the Cowboys were 1-15. In 1998, Peyton Manning's rookie season, the Colts were 3-13. I want to say that Drew Bledsoe in his rookie season in 1993 started all his games, but I think he was injured. Nonetheless, the Patriots were 5-11.

Because Jordan Palmer is the backup.

Because his brother sucks worse than him? You cant just bench someone because they suck if there is no one else to take their spot.

Wonder what the film says......Palmer may be throwing the ball to the right spots but his receivers aren't completing the correct routes. If you watch the game, you'll see that most good throws are made long before the receiver ever gets to the point of reception. You can be a great QB and make great throws, but if your receivers are inept, you can look pretty foolish as a QB.

Besides, who else do the Bengals have? And is a 2-7 representative of the QB's play or the entire team's play along w/ playcalling?
