I think that the NFL is in danger.. its not imminent but its there.. the most damaging aspect is the players, current and ex, who are commenting about injuries and the risks involved saying they don't want their kids playing.. that really hurts the NFL IMO.

I agree; combine the threat of serious injury with lawsuits, and the sport becomes both dangerous and expensive..

Do you have proof of this? Like some actual stats... Not an article where one or two ppl say it. I mean some figures showing pee wee football participation numbers declining?
One thing that people tend to overlook is players are bigger, faster, and stronger than they used to be. In the 80's you had linebackers who were 6'2 215 on many teams, now you have guys that are 6'5 270 playing linebacker and are extremely fast for their size as well. This holds true to most positions in football, especially when it comes to the front 7 for defense, and offensive lineman as well. Advancements in nutrition and medicine have allowed this.
