Overall? Regardless of position?

JJ Watt.

Hard to pick. There haven't been any real break-out performers like last year with JJ Watt and Von Miller. Robert Mathis comes to mind because he's leading the league with 13.5 sacks right now.

I think Richard Sherman makes a good argument. Near the top in INTs and sets the tone on defense for one of the best defenses in the league.

I'd probably lean towards Watt - guy is just an absolute force against both run and pass, has an incredible motor, plays smart - when you have a guy on the DL that can cause that much havoc it really limits the offense and sets the tone for the entire defense

Funny! I'd go with JJ Watt, I think, although he's playing on a team not doing much this year.
