Not the AFCCG, dude. That was the divisional round, as in, the Chargers' first game. They were one and done and couldn't beat Brady at home when the guy threw 4 INTs. If memory serves, Kaeding missed at least one FG.

I think it's a stretch to say the Chargers "got far" when they were one and done in a year they went 14-2.

I watched the heartbreak w/Marty on the 30 for 30 recently (about that game..)

All the defender had to do was kneel down when he intercepted brady's pass in the 2nd half..that would've ended it. What did he do? He ran with it and fumbled back to New England....one of the dumbest plays I can remember....

Marty even told the back 4 guys BEFORE the game if they get into a situation like that to kneel down...

Marlon McCree will never be forgotten in SD for that.

And Savoy, re-check. 07 AFCCG Chargers/Pats, it wasn't the Divisional Round.

Because that's the last time they went "far" into the playoffs. They actually went to the Superbowl in about 1994, actually 94/95 so let's say 19 years.

Why is all this relevant now?

Because of all the bandwagon smack talk going on up in here.

I don't call it bandwagon smack talk. I call it fans being fans.

I was 9 when they went to the SB in 94. Still have the AFCCG shirt that I got signed by Natrone Means and Stan Humpheries.

Actually, the Totally Evil Patriots will win

We have a large bag of NFL Snickers bars. Each week, we draw one bar out, and each one we draw wins. 17 out of 17.
SO I asked it to give me a super bowl winner
Drew the totally evil Patriots. I hate them, yes, but they will win
Now get this: they will beat the Panthers. Again

Super Bowl Rematch

One of a few combos
Broncos vs 49ers' Chargers vs 49ers
Saints vs Colts
SO we have a good chance of a Super Bowl rematch

But the Evil Patriots will win. There goes the season.

The Colts will beat the Pats, mainly due to the addition of Branch. Then the Broncos will control the clock with the running game after Peyton fires off an early lead and down goes the Bolts.

I see the Broncos beating the Panthers in East Rutherford.

I think this is a fun thread, I can't believe everyone is being so serious and arguing.

My favorite comment is about the "Evil Patriots" totally agree.

If I have to watch another Super Bowl with Tom Brady playing, I will barf!

I remember that play well, Troy Brown stripped McCree of that ball. Troy, our wide out, was a temporary fill in DB for a stretch, and played that position well. Your guy shoulda took a seat. Good luck at Denver!
