If Brady had just come clean and feigned ignorance instead of pulling an Aaron Hernandez by recklessly trying to destroy the evidence he probably would've been able to get his suspension reduced. Both sides have reacted ridiculously in this case, but Brady forced the league's hand by wantonly acting like an obstructionist idiot.
I always like Brady and certainly consider him one of if not the greatest QB of all time but this is simply bad PR for him no matter how you slice it. He needs to come clean, take his medicine and do some image rebuilding. If he forces the issues and takes the NFL to court... he can't win. Even if the court overrules Goodell and the NFL and gets him back on the field, that alone will not clear up his name. He destroyed evidence.. i don't think he can ever explain that away..
Tom destroyed his own reputation by destroying evidence.
What I find truly odd is that Tom Brady had 10,000 text messages on a phone he had only 4 months.
That is 85 messages per day! Sounds like a teenage girl to me.
I'm not sure what either the NFL Players Association or a court can really do at this point.
Get a stay pending the federal court hearing. IMO Cry-brady should be banned for the year and an unguaranteed reinstatement after the year is over. I liked Brady until he became a crybaby over his after his leg injury and how he could appeal the refs for Brady Rule hits.
As much as I think the whole situation is dumb, overblown, out of control long ago, a destroyed cell phone is just plain stupid. Excuses, I always destroy my cell phones, that is the answer. Both sides at fault here, but this could have gone away been handled already. Now it seems worse, is that possible? Patriots look bad here, over a silly situation.
Pride comes before a fall............he is in too deep now!
