Instead of 4 downs to get 10 yards why not 20 downs to get a touchdown?

I think if teams had 20 downs you would see bigger plays more often. Teams would be more willing to take chances on downs 1-10.

But we would also see teams that have the lead sit on the ball for 20 plays. 20 hand offs up the middle and punt to protect a 7-0 lead.
