He lost the respect of most players and to top it off he benched Eli for Geno. The darkest day in Giants franchise history.
He isn't alone responsible for it but he played a major role.
There is way more to this story than the coach, benching Eli, all of it. Mara probably had plans once the season started to go south. He may have realized McAdoo isn't the right personality, strong enough in terms of head coaching. The GM has had some misses in the draft and things need to change.
