None of the stuff is needed or paid attention to by vast numbers in the stands; who talk, drink, and make fun of the singers through it. Playing a song and waving a flag doesn't make anything more patriotic after all.
While I agree but you need to understand all sports play the national anthem before every game and that will not be abolished anytime soon

If you don't like the policy, stop watching the games. Don't support the product. Not sure why it's such a big deal.

Perhaps it should be. Or, people can ignore the protest which don't affect them in any way whatsoever. Most people never noticed them until it was brought up in the press. It all seems fairly moot as last year no one was even protesting at the end of the season or in the play-offs. This really is much ado about nothing. However leave it to the nfl to react poorly. The feudal lords really are out-of-touch.

All the people who are saying you are at a job etc. does your job play the national anthem before you sit at your desk? I actually think patriotism should be considered a religion then then NFL cannot force the establishment of an official religion like reckless patriotism has become.

The overpriviliged NFL players have it pretty good here. Had they disrespected their flag, national anthem, and country in the manner they have here in some other countries they might have been hauled off to jail and quite possibly had their asses beat with a cane pole. Try pulling one of these disrespectful stunts in China and see how long it takes before you get a visit. lol
They do it in a nanny-state dictatorship, so let's be happy we aren't quite as bad...yet. Okay, because that is such a good position to be in.

On a side note, why the hate for the National Anthem here? All that anyone asks when its played is to be quiet, and respect others that are appreciative of it.
And, its employment. I ask you to to go against any policy at your company that you dont like. See if the employer reprimands you.

It just seems people hate this country, and have no earthly idea why, its like they are cattle following the herd.
Damn, if you dont like the National Anthem being played at a sporting event, then dont watch it, boycott that time of the game, go get a beer if old enough.
Grow up
They used to show it movies, with a cartoon after to apease everyone. TV used to do it at 6 am.
I swear there are allot of hateful people here.

Why does the national anthem have to be played before every sporting event? I don't think it makes us any less patriotic as a nation if we don't do it. Do we play the anthem before church? or movies? or charity events. No we don't. I think it's time to move on from this tradition. It's getting hijacked now and turned into a circus.

You know with the advent of social media, people are far more aware of what is wrong with this country and as a consequence they ain’t gonna feel the “God Bless America” move. Can’t really blame anyone for feeling a certain type a way against a country where people get more upset by taking a knee than people getting killed by police brutality.
