Your thoughts on this? I guess I dont have to decide what Spring League to watch anymore but wonder how long the merged league survives for?

I'm curious how the broadcast rights work. The XFL had a deal with NBC as I recall and the USFL is owned by Fox.

I thought the XFL was the better show last season. The fact that the number of roster spots overall will decrease is a double edged sword.. Less spots to put yourself in front of eyes.. But.. Should make the competition better overall.

I like it.. I think it solidifies spring football.
And to me, it signals that they were never really trying to compete with each other. Both leagues are aspiring to make spring football a big time sport, not just content fighting over NFL scraps.
Win or lose, I like this merger (if it's pulled off).
