2nd weakest schedule in NFL.
All day to pass, defenses keying on Adrian Peterson....
If I'm a pro-bowl voter I'd go with Aaron Rodgers over Favre. (Among others)
This isn't dogging on Favre but just recognizing the situation.

Still have to make the plays.

Favre walked on to a team at the last second. A team that was supposed to be so good that he could just take the snap and hand it to Purple Jesus and then get in his hammock with some lemonade and watch, maybe throw a few short passes occasionally when Purple Jesus was tired. The team ended up relying very heavily on Favre all season to win games and he came through with flying colors.

And as far as defense keying on Peterson, yes they are paying a lot of attention to him, but you aren't saying they don't take Favre seriously? They are playing at him as much as they are Peterson, they just can't stop him with the threats he has to throw to.

All that being said, I do think Favre has some tremendous talent downfield to throw to, with Rice being a phenomenal receiver which helps a lot. But of course Aaron Rodgers has Jennings and Driver whom he has been in sync with for a long time. I think it says a lot that Favre walked right into Minnesota and immediately began shutting up all of his critics that were calling him washed up because of his poor December with the Jets with the torn bicep.

Also, keep in mind the Pro Bowl is also VERY much about popularity. Favre is more popular than Rodgers or Romo who both had comparable stats. Peterson had fewer yards than Steven Jackson, and Jackson played with a HORRENDOUS St Louis team with a terrible offense, but still outgained Peterson. But Peterson was more popular, he gets the nod, all part of the Pro Bowl. Not to mention the game is a complete joke anyway, so who cares?

Once Pro Bowl voting got opened to fans it became completely meaningless. It was only mostly meaningless before.

really??, he was good for 2 more games this year. the queens made the PO's last year too and with the 5th toughest schedule. This years schedule is 2nd easiest.

this reminds me of all the hype 2 years ago before he went to the jets about a guy that last year led the league in INT's.

and they paid 12 million for him?

Well since everything must obviously boil down to shedule toughness, care to explain why Adrian Peterson gained 400 yards less than last year. Don't say it was because they planned for him this year. Last year he was the ONLY thing opponents worried about. This year should have been easier for him since opponents had to respect the passing game. But somehow he didn't seem to have an easier year.

The Vikings had a passing game this year?

well that's easy, it's because teams concentrated on stopping him so as to force the "gunslinger" onto his right back foot to toss it up into triple coverage. Notice how his game suddenly changed after the line started having troubles and he had less time?

Pretty much.

You know boomerang, letting Favre go wasn't the end of the franchise like so many hoped. You can come back now. Long after Brett's out of the game, Aaron Rodgers will be a great quarterback in the NFL.
