Oh yeah, I remember that play. It was Larry Johnson who made the tackle and here is the play.

You think the commissioner should tell players how to wear their hair?

No way. If someone wants to have dreadlocks, that's their choice. If they get tackled by it and get hurt, that is their problem.

I agree. Whats next, telling them they can't have creepy porn mustaches or that Jared Allen can't have a mullet anymore.

Wow! I can't believe somebody believes this strongly about dreadlocks. It is actually kind of insulting.

What's it to you if a player wears dreadlocks? You've got a problem with them because you personally just don't like the way they look? Give me a break

I tackled more than a few people by them when I played football. It's pretty funny when you can stop a 200lb running back dead in his tracks by grabbing their dreads. I was nasty about it though, and I actually pulled out a few.

I mean, we have NFL players dogfighting, driving drunk killing people, quarterbacks being charged with rape, and players going to jail for domestic disputes, I doubt banning dreadlocks would be very high on Roger Goodell's to do list.I highly doubt you'll see dreadlocks on my head anytime soon, but honestly is it really that serious? I swear people make things bigger than what it is. Like a poster said earlier, these players are grown men, if the want to wear dreads and risk having them pulled out on the field that is their business. There more serious matters in the NFL (and sports for that matter) to worry about.

You forgot illegal drug use, shooting, and assault. Perhaps the schools they played for should have not let them get away with everything as long as they could play good.

it could be looked at like this- do employers like to hire people with tattoos on their face or piercings or a guy with pink hair or a guy with bad hygiene, no they have to keep a certain apperance while representing a company or someone else's name.

just like people have to follow dresscodes, its the same thing as in apperance, I know my work wouldnt let me wear a ponytail on the job.

should polamalu wear blue jeans and a bra to play football in, we could say he just be able to wear what he wants just like he should be able to wear his hair how he likes.

Im just saying, I could care less how these guys wear their hair, Im just making a point.

That's what I'm saying. I'm payin' you 40 million dollars? Your a$$ is gonna look the way I want you to, 'cause your appearance reflects on ME and my company. Just another example of how pampered and completely spoiled these athletes have become.
