The United Football League...4 teams, 6 games each played in Oct-Nov. With he exception of about a half dozen rules, identical with the NFL and is considered to be somewhat of a minor league to the NFL. The speaker of the house, Nancy Pelosi's, husband have invested millions into this league. Based on politics, no networks would dare break a tv-contract like the XFL. Therefore this league is almost guaranteed to go on for three seasons.
Lingerie Football League...If you didn't know, it's attractive girls wearing a sportsbra, somewhat skimpy shorts and various pads. Rules are closers the AFL, 10 teams, 20 games each.
Maybe this will be the year we finally learn if there's such a thing as too much football. For myself, I plan to act as though there aren't any such things as either the UFL or LFL.
I just thought I would bump this thread for the UFL debut tonight. California plays Las Vegas tonight at nine eastern on Versus. I'm curious how the league will do and plan to check it out. For one thing, as a Raiders fan, I love that they have eliminated the tuck rule.
I'm looking forward to the UFL. I think it is important to support this league. A feeder-type system can only improve the quality of talent in the NFL.
