Peyton's timing was off after just having 10 days off from the Thursday night game...
That much I'll grant you (although it does sound like an excuse). But here's a question, and I have yet to hear anyone else ask it: regardless of whom the Colts decided to put in at quarterback, and for whatever reason, if he wasn't capable of getting the job done, then what was he doing on the roster in the first place?
It's not as though the Colts could only win the game with Manning at quarterback. And let's face it: the Jets didn't score those 19 points off Manning.

Painter is actually a third-string rookie QB. Our long-time backup, Jim Sorgi, had to be placed on IR with a bad shoulder.
You're a Pats fan. Why does it matter to you if Polian is a jerk at times?
I didnt know I wasnt allowed to have an opinion of him because I'm a Patriots fan. If thats the case no one can have an opinion of Bill Belichick who isnt a Pats fan.

It's fine that you have an opinion, but I don't get why it has to be so passionate that you feel the need to rant about it, especially to Colts fans, and especially since the premise of your thread has been proven false. I think BB's a sour-puss, but you don't see me on the Pats thread going on about it. He's not my problem.

I'm not on the colts thread, I started a seperate thread. next..........
Does he??? His track record of whinning superbowls is what?????
You misread. The track record is with regards to putting together good football teams. The IMPORTANT part is winning the Superbowl. Sometimes these two things don't work out, a point I would think you of all people would be acutely aware? (And I am not even a fan of Indy)
Life is about learning from the (sometimes collossal) errors of others. Like watching your slightly slow cousin see if a fork will actually fit in a light socket.
What most people (not still in shock or denial) have learned is that going 16-0 and then not winning the Super Bowl is worse than having an 0-16 season.
So, 16-0 is nice but can actually be a NEGATIVE if you can't seal the deal.
Wait, perhaps Polian is ingenious? This way, even if Indy gets into the Superbowl and then chokes they will still not be considered the biggest choke artists since the advent of Cable TV.
As reported on ESPN the league will be reviewing the Colts game for its integrity.
