Frigidaire Top Mount 18 cuft Refrigerator Model 18G4AWB, White

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

It is a standard size refrigerator. The doors have a textured vinyl surface. This prevents finger smudges from showing as much. I'm not sure that it provides a cleaner looking surface though because of the way material can collect in the grooves of the texture. The handles have a finer, grainy texture. These handle surfaces are very hard to keep looking clean.

The interior of the refrigerator and the upper freezer both have adequate room. The freezer has a wire shelf and solid shelves set into the freezer door. The refrigerator has adjustable glass shelves. The shelves clean easily either by removing them or in place. The door has a deep shelf in the middle that has room for two, gallon size, jugs of milk. The lowest shelf in the door provides depth and enough height for a 2-liter bottle of pop. The top shelf in the door has a butter container. The setup of these shelves have worked very well for us.

There are two clear plastic crisper drawers in the bottom. One of the drawers has an adjustable humidity control feature. I haven't been able to tell whether this humidity control feature makes a difference or not on how long vegetables keep. I do really like the fact that the drawers are clear and you can see some of what is kept in them without actually opening the drawers. They slide out easily and completely to allow for thorough cleaning underneath.

The freezer seems to dry food out very fast. I'm not sure how it compares with other frost-less freezers. The biggest negative would be how noisy it is. It seems to run louder every year and makes weird popping noises at times.

Overall it is adequate in size and we felt it was a good bargain for the price we paid.
