Do you think your opinion is important? Do you ever read up on a subject to help you form an opinion? Can you support most of your opinions or do you just say the first thing that comes to mind?
I know jack dick about government, finance, sports, how to fix a car, religious doctrine, marriage, higher education, guns, pop culture, or why olive oil tastes nothing like olives. Anything I say about those will be stupid and should be ignored.
I know quite a bit about fiction writing, photography and graphic design, 20th century American history, current events and social trends, indie music, cites and urbanism, and... I think that's about it. My opinion probably carries a little more weight in those fields.
My opinions make sense to me and I can justify them. It's impossible to get someone to see your point-of-view on topics like abortion or same-sex marriage. I put myself in their shoes, and try to see where they're coming from.
I give my opinions less often than I tell other people what is wrong with theirs. Truth can be evasive, but untruths jump right out at you, carrying billboards of logical fallacies.
i don't think my opinions matter to anyone but for world peace to ever occur, maybe we should start listening to everyones' opinions take them into consideration. just my opinion.
