So I'm 17 and about to turn 18 started going to the gym in 2014 November and started taking protein in April 2015. I wanted to get bigger but now I take it so my muscles don't ache as much after working out. I usually have football after let's say doing legs and I don't want the workout to be affecting my performance. I'm no prodfessional but I always want to put 110%. I have had anxiety before taking protein, around January 2015 but I can't help but be superstitious about it . Does it make my anxiety worse or is this just me going through puberty . Any reasonable thoughts are welcome
The only way it could cause anxiety would be, possibly, if you were allergic to it. It's highly unlikely. Especially since you noticed that you had anxiety before beginning the protein supplementation.
If your anxiety is chronic (doesn't sound like it), crop by the school nurse's office and ask if it's just puberty, or if you should see a doctor for it.
Is it only whey protein, or is it one of those bodybuilding formulas that has other ingredients?
