I am gonna give myself a 6 working on being a 10.
Positives are decent job, not broke, healthy. Negatives are i don't own a home, no girlfriend, work way too much and have little social life. Could be worse.
Pros:
Two year degree
stable job
car
house
friends
working on making some healthy changes for a better life
looking at going back to school
Cons:
haven't found a way to use my degree yet
boring 9-5 job, my father is my boss LOL...i've been dying to find something new for a while now..
still live at home with parents (previous roomies screwed me over with money when we had an apartment so i cant even afford to live by myself now)..
lack of social life
seeing a therapist for depression
lack of independence or space
Life hasn't been bad to me, so maybe a 7 or 8. It would be higher if we could just get our house sold and the stress of moving out of state, done. I've been fortunate to be able to quit my job in order to take care of all the prep work that goes with selling a house. Being financially secure is a real blessing, although I prefer working.
Good hubby, nice home, good friends, vacations, great pets are all pluses. Not having a job and stressing over the house are negatives, but nothing in life is perfect. I'm looking forward to starting a new job, meeting new friends, living in a new state, and not having my life on hold, waiting for an offer, so we can move. Whatever your number though, it helps to take control and make things better and more positive if you can.
