I'm not sure the OP got the joke though.
When you have been around the block enough times you realize that quite often you have imaginary lovers in your head that have less than zero to do with actual lovers in the actual real world. Real people don't:
* Want the same thing you want, when you want it
* Anticipate your needs perfectly and compensate accordingly
* Have no will of their own other than to gratify you personally
* Always acquiesce to you
* Always understand you
* Always need / want you
* Have no personal concerns that are at odds with yours
* Have no hangups or hot buttons
* Never misunderstand
* Never disappoint you
* Never want anything from you that you're not disposed to give
* Never are in foul moods, smell bad, or fail to be completely scintillating
I could go on and on.
Somehow I get the impression that the OP hasn't yet figured out that life isn't a drama with him as the star of it and a supporting cast of 49 virgins awaiting his pleasure ...
