I remember reading somewhere that the reason men are subconsciously attracted to women with larger breasts is linked to their perceived ability to better feed & nourish a baby. It dates back to caveman days. Works for me.

I don't know anything about the correlation between a big butt and fertility. But I do know that in times of famine men were attracted to women with a lot of fat on them because it meant she wouldn't need as much food and wasn't as apt to starve to death as a slender woman.
The idea that fat meant healthy persisted well into the 1900s. Many of the immigrants who came to America during that time found a fat baby to be desirable. It meant they were surviving well and would probably be able to survive childhood illnesses better.
But with increased prosperity through that century it was discovered that all those fat cells were waiting to be developed in sedentary later life only to cause health problems.

I've heard that. I don't believe it.
I think it's because that's something men don't have, and it's a prominent feature that distinguishes female fr male.
