Bingo. I've found a large number of super nice or happy people were some of the biggest frauds I've ever seen.

It's funny (odd) that perhaps she simply doesn't have enough brain function left to be unhappy! What's to be unhappy about if you don't understand all the things that could cause worry?

You think that people are always mean for a reason? And if you're nice and smiley then people have no reason to be mean to YOU? No - mean people find reasons to be mean...so basically they're just mean by temperament and it doesn't matter what you do, so don't take it personally or over-inflate yourself over it.

Hmmm, I don't know about jealousy, I don't think people are thinking to themselves that it looks like fun or that the employee is happy doing that job. I think it's more like when people pick on others for being 'losers', as though there is some sort of underlying fear that it's catching.

Back in my native country, smiling is considered stupid.
Sad but true.
So, if you're smiling at those passing by you, it is meant you are laughing at them, like something is wrong with them.
Smiley face is invented at multicultural countries to show friendliness, but didn't go that far as being accepted by everybody.
Anyway, I, also, give smiley faces any time remembered.

Wow that is just so wrong! I can't imagine a country or people like that.

At least in America a smile is a smile whether genuine or fake. Even if fake must be intending to communicate some good intent...

It's not wrong if it is their culture. We do some things in our culture that would be disrespectful in others.

I think people are just more mean these days.

The more I am with my dog, the less I like people. Old saying but truer today than ever.
