Why is that the case in some families. A young 8 year old boy looks to his oldest brother, 26 years old as his idol and hero. Why?

What is the problem with that?

Why shouldn't the big brother be looked at as a hero?

Um... because it is his big brother?

In what world would you expect an eight year old NOT to idolize a big brother? Doubly so if dad isn’t in the picture, by the way.

because he's wearing muscle-pad shirts and the 8-year old thinks he's a superhero.

If his brother's a good person and is not a liar or thief, I don't see the problem. I think it's sweet that he looks up to his big bro. Would you rather he look up to Steph Curry, Buster Posey, or Tom Brady? (athletes with "good guy" images, but athletes nonetheless)

Last edited by PinaCarlotta; 12-07-2018 at 07:16 PM.. Reason: maybe I should have named athletes who get into trouble?

Because he is closer in age than the father and therefore more relatable?

It is sweet that he looks up to his big bro too. When he comes home from work, the boy's eyes gleams with happiness. He really, really loves him.

The dad was born in 1967. Is it because he is 51 years old. His wife is only 47.
