I would love to hear some opinion and thoughts here. I am fickle minded and cannot decide. How bad? I've been jumping majors in college for 16 years. I cannot decide what color jeans I want. I cannot decide whether I should go to work or not. From the smallest of things to the biggest life affirming decisions and they leave me indecisive. Others have made decisions for me in life that only now I am realizing at age 34.

Guide me to the best of your knowledge and ability please. Were you once indecisive? Is it low self esteem and perhaps nobody is unsure of anything but are just confident with themselves? Is it biological/genetic- I have gone to the doctors for anti depressants and have been put on wellbutrin. Next goal is adderall and ritalin(meds have to help in someway at least). But in the middle of the day I get this nagging feeling and I make this post. Just throw your wisdom, people.

Thank You

Why are you trying to get on adderall/Ritalin? Are you diagnosed with ADHD? I’m not sure how that is going to help you make a decision to go to work or to pick dark wash denim over a lighter wash. You need to go into cognitive behavioral therapy to get to the root of why even the most mundane decisions are so difficult. Many people are indecisive, but for you, it seems to be extreme.

Indecisiveness is indeed a symptom of depression....been there. Maybe the Wellbutrin will help. I take that as well and have improved....

good luck.

Dad. But I make good money doing online writing. And I don't have an expensive lifestyle, biggest expenses are books and video games.

Hmm. I do have ADHD although its not diagnosed officially. Could never focus or concentrate, jittery, anxious. Been reading a lot online and both adderall and ritalin get mentioned on how taking a tablet makes you focus. At this stage I have nothing to loose. I got started on wellbutrin so I won't start right away with the other two. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy seems expensive and time consuming. Maybe I'll check it out but I believe its more of a biological/neurological/chemical thing and meds can help better,.

Been there? Tell me more please. How was it? How did you better it? I started on wellbutrin 3 days ago but don't feel much different though they says give it 4-6 weeks.

I'm going to guess you don't have a problem deciding which video games to play.

I do
That is if I play! I can't focus for more than 10 minutes be it a game or a movie. In 2009 I could watch 2 films a day, now I can barely finish 15 minutes even if I am enjoying the film. Its a combination of many things, hence my desire to try medication.
