Had our first few sightings of the season this past weekend We have guests coming for 9 days next week. Looks like we won't be doing much boating, unless there is a breeze to keep them away.

Yep we had a few the other day too but haven't seen any more since. Maybe they decided to go North? Oh well, it's better than those darned stink bugs we had up there.

Last April, the same group of friends came for a visit (just a 3 day weekend), and it was horrible. Took the boat out, and every time we stopped we were swarmed. brought the boat back and went to the beach. No breeze, so swarmed. Couldn't even go out to eat (outside) or to the tiki bar without them swarming. I felt so bad for our guests. Literally, the only thing we could do outside was sit home by/in the pool since it is screened. I was really hoping they would come ealier this year and be done by the end of April. Not looking like the case :-(

Oh that's a shame. Your company is going to think that the love bugs are here all the time. They are VERY annoying and so in your face.

Drove to Tampa today to visit my grandson in the hospital and hit one swarm of love bugs. Had to clean them off the car when we got home. It isn't too bad yet though.

2-3 weeks usually, but they don't keep calendars, so you just never know. They still haven't hit bad yet this year, but it's coming
