Yesterday the wife and I went to the DMV to get our Florida drivers license, having just moved to PG three weeks ago. I just wanted to give a shout out about the very nice young man working the area as you first go in. He was extremely friendly and helpful, even making a call to someone about our documents to confirm we were good to go. I didn't get his name but later I did get to personally thank him for his kindness and wanted to share the experience with the forum. Just nice to see.

That's good to know!

I had a similar experience getting my DL and car registration in Venice. They were extremely efficient and friendly - I was in and out in no time.

We've been there a number of times and found folks there helpful and friendly. The lines sometimes back up, depending on when you go, but I don't think it's ever taken us more than an hour to get through it.

Nothing but positive experiences at the Murdock office. Much better than other places.

My wife & I had our 1st experience with Florida's DMV in Sebring and since moving to Port Charlotte have been there twice. All three visits have been pleasant - good folks working there.

My wife and I are going to change our license and cars over to Fl in December. Is there anything special we need to take with us?
