My Jeep needs an evacuate and recharge of the AC coolant. I'm looking for someone reasonably priced who won't "find' problems that don't exist. Any recommendations?

Thanks,
Jim

I rarely evacuate unless the system was left open for a long period of time (and even then I usually don't and never had a problem). I just buy the freon from walmart or wherever and charge myself.

Thanks, I'll look into it. I did the can recharge about a year ago but it wasn't the same as a full charge. The vehicle is 10 years old and has never had any AC service. It's time to evacuate and start from scratch.

The only place we ever go, and have been taking vehicles there for nearly 17 years is to American Auto Air Conditioning. He is the most honest, fair mechanic we have ever met. Most of the time he does not charge you for recharge... because he would rather have repeat business. The AC went out on my mustang... and we took it in to him.. it was an electrical problem! YIKES... we were bracing for a huge bill. It was only $67.00 for the repair. Because the day we took it to him..... it was over 90 degrees outside... and he did the repair for the cost of the part. He just wanted me to get back on the road ... and to be cool.

I ALWAYS tell people about him!

You will not regret it! Honestly....... don't mess with anyone else. This is what he does. This is his specialty and has been there for over 20 years.

His shop number is 941-629-7979

Thank you! A neighbor said almost the same thing about them. I am not looking for free but I do want someone who knows their stuff. I'll give them a call today.

Thanks again!
