Yes, they were bad this past weekend which surprised me for the time of year. Big recent hatch has been blamed and the aerial treatment chopper is out under maintenance.

We have only been here a couple of years and have barely noticed a single one, but in the past two weeks they have been as thick as honey here in PGI.

Went out to work in the yard and was instantly covered all over. Sprayed off with some Deep Woods Off and they were still hovering around, buzzing in my ears. Mr. 2wd was also swarmed, so it wasn't just me I guess. PG has completed two ground sprays in the past 10 days or so. Today not noticing them so much so maybe the hatch is over?

Now dealing with the noseeums... that is a whole 'nuther matter.

My wife gets harassed by mosquitoes and they barely touch me. We were walking through the parking lot at Ponce De Leon park, crossed over some grass and the mosquitoes swarmed up from the grass. There was a cloud of them. The cloud followed my wife as we continued walking and left me alone. It was crazy. I've never seen a swarm of mosquitoes come out of the grass like that.
