Hi all,

Does anyone here know of some cool venues in the Triangle area that has live acoustic music that starts before, say, 10pm?

We want to go out to listen to some good music, and with Six String closed, we're two lost souls.

Help?

Weaver Street is a good choice, though perhaps a little toasty warm right now.

Maybe the General Store Cafe in Pittsboro?

Back porch series? Not sure where, but check out the WUNC website
I think the Carolina Inn has some stuff once in a while?
Also, there are several places in the "region" that have bluegrass. The only one I can think of now is a little far, it's on the other side of Carthage and it is on Tuesday night, some pottery store.... Not even sure if they still do that one?

If they are looking to drive for it, this is a good choice too, but it is 1+ hours depending on where you are in the Triangle.

I work just around the corner from Bone Daddy's Hideaway and they always have live music going in the afternoons. It is located on Creekside just behind Costco at six forks and wake forest rd. They have some awesome bands play.

Or there is Music on the Porch in Seaboard in Raleigh. Music on the Porch - Downtown Raleigh

Or many clubs have earlier shows, you just have to look for them. For instance, we saw John Hiatt at Cats cradle the other night and it started at 8. Pour House in downtown Raleigh, used to have a "roots rock" series that started early on Sunday nights. I think it might have moved to The Berkley? It was great, see two bands, drink cold beer, home by 11.
