Are sidewalks uncommon? I'm hoping to find a reasonably priced subdivision that offers them in Apex, Holly Springs or Wake Forest.

Thanks!

Sidewalks on BOTH sides of a street are uncommon. Usually, a subdivision will have one sidewalk.

If you're from up north, it will seem strange to you. It did to me.

One of the reasons Falls River in North Raleigh was particularly appealing to me was that there's sidewalks on both sides of the street as well as around the entire cul-de-sac circle (never seen that before). Add in the greenway access, pocket parks, and it's a walker/jogger/biker paradise.
