I too prefer a spice marinara. I did notice how thick the sauce was when they scooped to apply so I know it's not from paste but from crushed. I like the red pepper idea, next time I'll have them add it as they make the pizza. I guess that is what is nice about being there as they make your pizza right in front of you Subway style.

Vicki
The Melting Pot folks own the local rights and plan to do about 12--14 of them, so if there isn't one in Raleigh yet, it is only a matter of time.

Apparently none open in Raleigh yet but Apex (756 W Williams St, near Harris Teeter) and Cary (161 SE Cary Parkway near Trader Joe's).

I used to frequent Papa Murphy's in Dallas -it was a great value. However, their prices are very high in the Triangle -$10 for a large cheese and I still have to cook it??? No thanks. It's way cheaper to pick up a Dominos, Papa Johns, etc...

They need to do a serious price check if they want to sustain in this market.

We use the one in Apex all the time. Love that the toppings and crust are not frozen and you have a choice of sauces. MUCH better than Dominos, Pizza Hut or the others.....

sea2sea...you need to print out their coupons from their website. I got 2 large pizzas last weekend with 2 toppings each and they were $6.99 each.

Thanks for the suggestion. Will check into it next time I have an inkling for pizza.

Used to get Papa's about once a week in Seattle, glad they're here in the Triangle now! Sure they're no Lilly's, but pretty fine for take and bake and much better than Tombstone or the frozen pies!

Their Chicken and Bacon stuffed pizza is my favorite. It's not light, by anyone's definition, and usually weighs about 5 pounds, but it's delicious!

I've never been to Papa Murphy's but hope to check them out in the future. I just noticed they have a Groupon special today so that may sweeten the pot for me!
