I am searching for a field for a photo shoot somewhere in the Triangle or even a bit further into surrounding areas. The type of field I am looking for would be a wide open area, maybe some high grass and maybe mixed in with some floral weeds or flowers, a few trees but not too many. The look we need is imitating a scene from the west. Think western states foothills, Utah, Colorado, California, etc. I know it's not possible to replicate it exactly, but am hoping to find something that I can work with.

Any ideas?

I've never been to the Prairie Ridge Ecostation, but it looks like it would be worth checking into. It's on Reedy Creek Road.
