Hello to everyone. I have always wanted to move to nc. The four seasons is something you dont see in florida.I am going to see some homes in cary, willow springs, and raleigh area next week. I have a 7 year old boy and 15 year old girl. They are both excited. They are both in advance classes in school so school plays a big role in where i move.I have researched all i can. Now I need to here it from the natives in that area. What area of raleigh should I stay away from and which towns have the best schools and less crime. I have read in some post to stay away from south of raleigh and look north of it.Pleases some and any advice would be appreciated.

Make sure you can find a job first.

I agree, I would start with having a job, then that would help narrow down the locations of where to live. The triangle encompasses a huge area, with MANY small towns throughout. Each has its own charm, etc and most people narrow their choices based on commute times to work.

As far as schools go, wake county is one of the largest districts in the state, it covers a HUGE area and there are good and bad schools throughout.

Best of Luck-Get a job first and rent-you can then decide for yourself which area is best. Search the web for Wake County schools and get a sense of what is going in in the area. Crime is everywhere and will happen-we are not immune to it here in NC.
