Hi. I grew up in Brookhaven in Raleigh, NC and went to JW York School. I am researching the early history of the development--who owned the land originally, who was/were the main developers, builders, etc. And of course any info on the neighbors in the early 60s to mid-70s.
Thanks

I'm pretty sure it was developed by J.W. York. The York family isn't hard to find. If you call Smedes York's office I'm sure you can find out more.

Search "Brookhaven" "Firm/Non-Human" at the Register of Deeds site and several hundred results show.
Wooten, Fonville, and Blanchard are among the original developers.
