Was your house itself done by a custom builder? Just curious. I love those light tan bricks. One of my favorites.

Semi-custom but not outright custom. We had tons of plans we could choose from and changes were pretty easy to do, but they do like to do the standard plans.

We wanted to be different because most people go with red brick...and we like the light brick/dark shutters and doors contrast.

I like the light brick and dark shutters (or outright white with darker/stained type shutters) far better than dark, red brick.

It just doesn't appeal to me. Every now and then, I see a house that's very deep red brick that I like, but not often.

Thanks. I hired out a lot of the work, but I also have done a lot myself. Much of the electrical, part of the HVAC, all the speaker, ethernet, coax wiring, all the compressor lines, many of the lights, the epoxy floor, etc. I probably have 125-175 hours or more of my own time into it so far. I do like details, that's for sure.
