Just wanted to be the first since I know there will be questions as soon as construction begins. It will be built in the parking lot in front of Kohls.
I think it will do well there but I wish there was a gas station/convenience store on that side of Falls.

I heard about this a few months back but was puzzled by the location then and remain so. I've never seen an establishment built on an exisitng parking lot within a strip Mall. I guess Kohl's doesn't want/need that parking and wouln't mind losing street exposure.

I'm not going to rant about why we don't need another McDonald's, but I sure do hope they don't plan on putting points of access on that corner. It is a pretty busy intersection and messing with traffic flow could have some ill effects there. A gas station would have the same negative impact so I wouldn't be impressed with that either. I guess the McDonalds can compliment the architecture of the Walgreens right across the street as the race to the bottom to look like every other suburb continues. Thankfully Watershed Regs prevent any simialr development from happening further up Falls.

All the businesses there will benefit from the McD. They always bring traffic. On the flip side, those of us who don't eat there and drive through that intersection will likely suffer unless, as NRG suggested, new access is devised.

OP and others are right though, we desperately need a gas station between 540 and everywhere north on FON.

I wonder if, at some point, the city ever plans to synchronize the traffic lights on this road. It seems like if you catch one, you catch them all. I've tried different speed and acceleration patterns and it doesn't seem to matter. In my 12+ years of living in Wakefield, I've almost never caught all the lights all the way down, even doing exactly the speed limit. Annoying.

I just commented the other day about how nice it was around there with so few fast food joints. Sorry folks.
