I love eating crabs, but I haven't found a place who sells cooked and seasoned crabs here. Does anyone know where I can buy some good FRESH crabs by the dozen or bushell ???

Thanks !

I'd call Anette ( in Knightdale off 540) and ask if she has them or can get them for you. She will steam the food she sells. BTW her Low Country Boil is delicious! A'Nets Katch | Fresh Seafood | Knightdale, NC

I didn't see low country boil on the website. Is that a takeout item? The website says take out coming soon.

I'm not so sure Backfins can help you out, unless you want to pay an arm and a leg. I just got back from Ocean City Maryland and had AUCE crabs for $22.95 and it comes with corn on the cob and hush puppies. Backfins charges $35 a dozen. I just called them. They are out of their minds! And they don't get their crabs from the Atlantic either, they fly them in from Louisina, the guy told me so.

There are a couple of fish markets off Capital Blvd, near Brentwood area.

If you want fresh blue crabs and have the time, try going to the seasonal docks off the sound. I took a weekend trip to Belhaven,NC where there are tons of crabs. I literally tied leftover fishing-line I found a chicken bone from lunch, threw it out into the sound, and pulled in a nice blue crab holding on to the bone. Did that a couple of times. Put those guys in a boiling pot of water/beer and waited until they turned red. Was an awesome trip!
