After some discussion the other night about how my oppty seems to be in limbo and the fact that we really would rather my husband be the first one to find a job (though I'll take the other job if offered to me!), he's decided to redouble his efforts. We both agree that networking is key and it got me to wondering. Would that be a correct use of this forum? If he were to get his own user name and post here requesting any one who had inside info or knew people at XYZ company (or companies) might possibly be able to pass along the info? He is going to fly down there sometime in Sept. and spend about 3 days and is working to fill up his calendar. Even if there's no job at the target company(ies), just getting in for a "meet and greet" meeting would be great.

I would hope that would be allowed, but I am new to this forum so I am not sure of the rules. Everyone here is very friendly and seem to always look to help wherever they can.

I guess I'll wait for some more input. I know there's been a bit of informal networking on the forum, but I would hate to have hubby register and then immediately break a rule!

There is actually a business and finance part of the forum....maybe look into that area and read the rules and regs.....

Thanks.

I took a look and didn't really see anything like that but I'll go back a few pages.
