During the evening at the corner of route 98 and new light there was a little building taped off with about 15-17 police cruisers there, some with lights going, and some plain clothes taking reports it seemed like. I can't find anything in the news anywhere either. Just curious. It was still taped off this morning with a police cruiser still parked out front.

I wonder if that was the alert I had gotten from WRAL last night. There was a body found in an antique store last night and police were investigating.

This story has been almost completely buried. Wonder why the lack of media coverage? This would be the 2nd time a body has been found within a mile of that stretch of hwy 98 in the last few months. Wonder if they are related?

Could just be that a worker closing up for the night had a heart attack and died or something. Things like that usually don't stay in the news unless something dramatic happened like a murder.

I have no link but have heard 3rd hand (and therefore not really reliably) that someone who works there passed, presumably of natural causes. No story there.

I'd much rather that be the case instead of the other possibilities. With so many people seeing the numerous police presence and the tape around the property, it makes people nervous. And with the murdered body found just up the road from there several months ago, I'd just like to know what's going on.
