Does anyone have any experience with the City of Raleigh Camp Ranoca at Umstead Park & Durant Park or the Town of Cary Camp at Bond Park??

My daughters love outdoorsy-type camps. We did Chestnut Ridge last year & they loved it, but I don't feel like driving 45 minutes one-way everyday for the entire summer. We considered doing Camp Kanata, but that's also a long drive.

This summer I'd like to stay local with the day camps, but I want them to have plenty of outdoor activities and swim days, and I know Camp Ranoca takes them to a Raleigh city pool...and I was curious about that also.

The camp at Bond Park is a lot of fun if my MIL's middle school neighbors have anything to say on the matter. I swear that's all they talk about in the summertime

Bond Park Camps are good, but they are not the outdoor type like Camp Kanata.
They do field trips, swim/tennis/boating on some days and arts/crafts other days.
I doubt the Umstead Park camp is still available. It gets filled up quickly.
