Are there cognitive behavioral therapists in Raleigh? Some kind of clinic?
They all seem to be in Durham and and/or are VERY expensive---$150 per hour. If anyone can suggest Raleigh area resources for children, I'd appreciate it.
Margie used to be with Carolina Partners in Mental Health, one of the larger networks of mental health providers in the area (it's really more a group of practices than a single practice). You might check out their website for other practitioners.
You could also check out Duke Outpatient Psychiatry.
I'm clearly not using my MSW like I should be lol.
Have you asked your school counselor for a referral? On another note, do they offer anything like that through the school? When I was an MSW intern, there was a school based mental health therapist who provided CBT (among other therapies) at no cost to the parents.
FYI-CHTransplant, Margie is still with Carolina Partners, she's just in her own office in Cary.
Thanks for the correction - I thought she had left CPMH.
