Yeah, to whatever extent this was a serious thread, clearly the answer is "yes," there are plenty of mosquitoes in Cary, Garner, and the rest of the region. That's not really a surprise, though, since there are mosquitoes present literally everywhere around the country and around the world where there's a decent amount of precipitation and at least a little bit of warm weather. Personally, though, I don't generally find the mosquitoes here in central North Carolina to be too bad, though. They can certainly be abundant enough to be a significant nuisance on otherwise pleasant evenings from June through September or so, but still I don't find them to be quite as overwhelmingly disruptive as in some places either further north (Minnesota, Maine, Michigan's Upper Peninsula), or further south (Florida). But it's all relative, and if you're hoping to find a mosquito-free area, this ain't it.
I am literally eaten alive by mosquitoes each summer , as soon as i step out . My husband do not get one bite so it depends . We live in the woods with a pond down below so this is not helping .
Just avoid being outside more then needed during mosquitoes season . Mosquitoes love humidity and heat so they are definitely around here . I have spend lots of money buying all sorts of sprays , citronella candles , repellents and nothing has work . Really . I just let them bite me and spend months scratching and itching . If you have such a problem i recommend moving somewhere else as it will become annoying .
