When we bought our home years ago we loved the cathedral living room ceiling but gave no thought to having to change the floodlights when they burnt out. Now, although I have a long extension pole with a suction cup, I can't replace the floodlight. I've unsuccessfully "googled" every combination trying to find someone to do the job. Years ago I found someone associated with a maid service who did this - but can't now find anyone advertising this service. So.... if you can direct me to someone providing this service, it would be greatly appreciated. I live near the North Hills Shopping Center in Raleigh and plan to replace all four lights with LEDs to eliminate this problem for as long as I own this house. Thanks...
We have had the same problem in our rental. After having no luck with a handyman search, I finally used one of those extension rods and got a step ladder that was very sturdy. I am able to replace our bulbs by myself now.
Call an Electrician
Definitely use LED purchase locally , their expensive and should outlast your home so you want to be able to bring them back if they fail.
You could alwas rent a step ladder , they have really tall ones
Do not use cfl's. The ones I bought for my can lights burn up very quickly. If you can splurge for led's go that route.
