In CA we have Wells Fargo ATMs in many Ralph's supermarkets (one of the larger chains).

I think other grocery stores have similar arrangements with other banks.

Do any of the major grocery stores in the triangle have affiliations with any of the large national banks - if so, which ones have paired up?

Yes, we do have banks in some grocery stores and plenty of ATMs in others.

Look for Cashpoints ATMs. They are owned by the NC Credit Union and do not charge a fee for anyone. I believe some of the new, bigger Harris Teeters have actual banks them? I'm not 100% on that, but I seem to recall seeing them...

There's a tiny branch for SunTrust Bank in the Harris Teeter by my house. There's a bank branch at the local Kroger, too, but I can't remember which bank it is.

I assumed you did, I just meant specific bank chains presence - I'm in the process of choosing a bank and the grocery store presence is one of the big reasons I stick with Wells Fargo in California.

Thanks!

The only in-store branch I've seen, and I've seen it in many grocery stores across the Triangle, is SunTrust. Edited to say, all the grocery stores might have been Harris Teeters b/c that's where I typically shop

Consider joining a credit union instead of a bank. Coastal Federal Credit Union has pretty open membership.

Pardon the bluntness of my question, but why?
