Average for 27614 is 25 minutes? Even when I lived further from RTP, my commute was never more than 20 minutes. I wonder if a lot of people in 27614 drive to downtown or Cary then?
My mom lives in a rural area in a small town in the SE corner of the state, and their average drive time is over 30 minutes! But a lot of those people drive to Wilmington or Myrtle Beach, etc for work. My mom, fortunately, only drives about 5 minutes if she catches THE light!
Interesting map. It would be more interesting if it broke it down by transportation options. My spouse's commute is probably about 15-20 minutes in Chapel Hill, but that's a 20 minute walk to work, not driving on I-40 in a car.
My husbands commute is seconds, he works from home (IT). My commute from Clayton to Downtown Raleigh takes around 20 minutes if there is no accident or other issue. Raleigh to Clayton on the way home during rush hour however takes about 40 minutes.
