I am a single female, moving down to Chapel Hill to start a graduate school program. I am from a large city and have been looking for a place that has other graduate students in their 20s. A walkable area would be nice too (so I wouldn't have to drive to buy milk).
I have heard Carrboro mentioned before - but where? Certain apartment complexes, town homes? Hard to tell the walkable from the non-walkable areas apart... and even more difficult to figure out whether a place is safe and whether it has an undergrad/grad/family population.
I would love some recommendations for a good place to live for a single female my age. I don't need much space (1-2BR), so it's really all about the location for me.
