Have you noticed an increase in traffic around Raleigh during the last month or two? The triangle seems to be getting more & more popular by the day. I've noticed a lot of out of state drivers in the area lately. Has that been your experience?
Name the states that you see in your daily travels around RDU besides North Carolina license plates.

I don't see many out-of-state plates. Once in awhile I see Georgia or South Carolina or New Jersey. I saw WAY more out of state plates when I lived in the DC area.
I can't say I've noticed much of a difference in the past couple of months, or past couple of year, or really anytime in the past decade. The area is/was/will be growing.

last night i was amused to be on glenwood headed toward downtown & being surrounded by four cars (one in front, one behind, two beside me in the lane) with out of state plates (new jersey, louisiana, rhode island, & pennsylvania if anybody cares). they were going super-slow & clearly didn't know where they were going which is why i noticed them all. then i left the pack behind. vroom, vroom.

This has been my experience as well over the past 8 years living here.
Just on Tuesday afternoon, I was driving down Aversboro Road in Garner, and for a few blocks I was behind an SUV with British Columbia plates (or, "Beautiful British Columbia," as the plate actually read). That seemed amusing to me, for some reason. Somehow how I doubt that's part of a trend, though, but rather just a one-off. I can't see Scottyville being overrun by Vancouverians any time soon, although it'd be interesting and fun if it were. I rather like Garner the way it is, and I think it's actually one of the better and more underrated towns in the Triangle. But I'd definitely spend a lot more time there if it had a bit more Vancouver in it.
Just saw one today as we were taking a walk around the neighborhood--someone from PA moving in
