In Phoenix, I could buy the pickled daikon and carrot salad in the refrigerated case at several asian markets. I haven't seen it here (including at Grand Asia). Anybody know of a source, please? (It's a pain to make it myself.)

I feel like I've seen it at the Que Huong Market (I'm missing the proper Vietnamese diacritics on the "O" in "Huong," since I can't do it on this phone) in the little Starmount shopping center on Capital Boulevard in North Raleigh, a couple doors down from the excellent and underrated Pho Cali (also missing Vietnamese diacritics), as well as Harbor Freight tools, Brass Tap bar and pool hall, one of those "Twice the Ice" kiosks, a seafood market, a Vietnamese café, and some other random but interesting strip mall crap. I've never bought the radish/carrot salad there, though, so it couldn't hurt to call ahead to make sure.

Yep, that's where I got it last... they may or may not have it, so you try your luck by going out there. I've now resorted to making my own as I'm in Cary and hate going all the way out there.

Yep this is where I consistently find it. They're also ridiculously easy to make yourself: Banh Mi Battle | Vietnamese Pickled Daikon and Carrot Recipe

Yep, they had it - and a good version of it, too. Large container for $5 bucks. Well worth purchasing if you need a lot of this stuff as it's a pain to make.

thanks everyone!
